Jenner Roth

Founder director

Jenner is a founding director of Spectrum and a registered psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Jenner has a management background and as a co-director of Spectrum brings a set of organisational skills that deeply shapes our values and standards as an organisation. Jenner is a senior trainer and supervisor of established therapists, is instrumental in running the continued professional development community and has an individual and group psychotherapy practice at Spectrum.

In the early 1970’s Jenner was instrumental in introducing humanistic psychology to Europe and the United Kingdom as director of Center, a centre for the development of human potential in Amsterdam.

Jenner studied gestalt therapy with Marty Fromm, and formative psychology with Stanley Keleman. She is a member of the international formative psychology community and its professional supervision and study group.

How Jenner works

The sexuality programme, which was the beginning of Spectrum Therapy, was designed by Jenner. Spectrum’s women’s and men’s programmes grew out of this, as did the Spectrum Incest Intervention Project.  Jenner continues working with women in ongoing and residential groups. She also specialises in working with couples in residential settings with Terry Cooper. Jenner is interested in the pragmatic application of therapy in people’s daily lives.
