Independent learning

Spectrum’s independent learning programme has an educational philosophy which moves the educational model away from a formalised and structured unilateral teaching programme and instead offers therapists the possibility of designing their own learning.

Independent learners range from novice therapists to experienced practitioners. New therapists may want training to develop their skills and build expertise, or they may be building a portfolio of courses in order to apply for accreditation with a registering body such as the BACP or the UKCP. More experienced practitioners may be developing higher level skills or creating their own continued professional development programme.

Certificates of attendance are available for all courses. For further information contact Maggie McKenzie, director of training and professional development.
